s l o w l y putting my 67 cj5 back together.

does anybody know how many spring clamps go on the (stock) front and rear springs?

I have 3 or 4 hose clamps per spring pack, does that count?

i've learned that there are 4 each on the front springs.

not sure about the rear springs because of the straight leaf being in there.

My M38 has 4 clamps on each pack.

yeah i think 4 clamps each on the front, and i'm pretty sure now after looking at the rear springs again that there are only 2 on the rear springs because of the funny straight leaf. it only looks like two clamps would possibly fit.

closer inspection revealed 3 "lips" on the front springs - 2 on one side, 1 on the other, presumably for the purposes of preventing the spring clamps from wiggling off so i'm assuming there were 3 clamps on the front, like this:

likewise i only found 2 lips on the back springs (1 on each side).

as to how the front springs were oriented i'm not sure (were the 2 clamps toward the front of the vehicle, or the back?)
