You may have heard of the Massachusetts Forest Reserves that the MA Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA) is trying to impliment. How long until the state of Massachusetts puts pressure on the Berkshire towns to close all the unmaintained roads in the area? All motorized users must band together if we hope to stand against this.

After the MA Timber Association meeting in Dalton MA during the winter of 2005 the NEA was strongly opposed to the Forest Reserve Initiative. Sadly at the time people were too interested in being included in the process and were blinded to what was really happening. I'm glad to see everyone is now waking up to the reality of the Forest Reserves and what it means to us. Hopefully this information will soon wake more people from the apathy the green groups depend on

Scott as someone who is more in touch with whats going on...how much of what is said on that website is acurate and how much is spin?

Having been involved with the White Mountain National Forest and more recently Massachusetts push for Forest Reserves I believe this is very accurate.

Both the MA Executive Office of Environmental Affairs EOEA and the White Mountain National Forest Officials discussed the same wild life buffer zones and migration corridors.

I seen bits and pieces of what is discussed in articles, websites, and magazines but never have all the pieces of the puzzle been pulled together into one comprehensive plan.

I am speaking with the author of the Taking Liberty program, Dr. Michael Coffman. They are interested in coming to us and setting up as many meetings as possible or one big one where Mike can come in and inform everyone to what is going on. they have literature that we can use and we can coordinate with Mike.
