Shane or Stephen: Do we have a list of links anywhere? If not maybe we should start one. People coming to our site looking for restoration info might appreciate it. If it is something that involves more work than i think, i would be willing to help.

Until we get something on the main site, I'll stickey a post up top and we can add links when we find them. I'll try to do that tonight and copy the above listed links. Might make an easier reference for when we make a page for it.

Good idea. biggthumpup.gif

Shane - John or Stephen, Would it be possible to Sticky this in the willys section and maybe change the subject to "Willys Web Links" We really do have some good links that others that visit the site could find useful or interesting. I will keep an eye on the links to make sure they are still live.

Hey, thanks for sticking this post up! I remember reading something about these sites a few weeks ago, but haven't seen it since. To be honest, I do not really delve into the Willys Resto Section all too often! ph34r.gif The posts from previous had piqued my curiosity as I have wanted to familiarize and educate myself with the History of the Willys Jeep, etc. biggthumpup.gif

Does anyone know of any good comprehensive BOOKS?

A good referrence book for stats and drivetrain offerings over the years would be Jim Allens Illustrated buyers guide to Jeep ISBN 0-7603-0299-5

If you want a really good history book that covers all the aspects from the companies finances to the production numbers and even events in the country that change the companies marketing then I recommend The Story of Jeep by Patrick R Foster ISBN 0-87341-564-7
I can loan you a copy of this if you want.

If you start a collection of books like I have I would avoid Jeep 1942-86 willys, Kaiser, amc by Schiffer Automotive Series. This book is written by some germans who have very little history that isn't covered in all the other books. I would go as far as saying that I learned nothing reading this book. It is very basic for a history book and even contained some discrepancies from other books written by many more noteworthy jeep historians.
